Ima Dorable

For some reason, I can't manage to take a decent picture today, but OH WELL. This is a dress I made for Natalie a few weeks ago when the weather started to get cooler, but after that it really warmed up again, so she hasn't worn it to church yet. When she does, I'll try to get a better picture of her actually in it. This pic just doesn't do it justice because it's made out of the sweetest, softest brown corduroy with little pink roses. It had a big bow on the front, but when she put it on, it really weighed the whole front down and looked silly, so I had to take it off. My mom also made her some adorable corduroy skirts for Fall so maybe we'll have to stage a little fashion show and post pictures of her wearing them all. She would love that, I'm sure :)
Here's a picture of Kelby in his sling, which I can't seem to say enough good things about. I took him to church in it last Sunday and he was great the whole time. He really hates his car seat, which all my kids have, but he seems to have an even bigger aversion to it than the girls did. Another reason I love the sling!
Finally, this picture may seem a weird thing to post, but it's a really cool visual. This is seventeen teaspoons of sugar--the amount of pure sugar in a 20 oz. soda!!!!!!!! I have had success quitting soda in the past, but it's always been temporary and I would like to give it another shot. I'm drinking some coffee every day, though, because having a newborn, this is not a good time to give up the caffeine altogether, if ya know what I mean! Anyone want to join me?

  1. I'll join ya! but... I think I will let myself have one a week. Ya know for me it's a little hard to go cold turkey!!!I do love coffee though, and it DOES help with newborns, or 6 month olds, or 22 month olds:) YAY for the Java!!!

  2. You know me...gotta have my Diet Pepsi. Yeah...no seventeen teaspoons of sugar. Just seventeen teaspoons of really-bad-for-you-may-cause-cancer-sugar-substitute. But hey...no way I'm giving up estrogen AND Diet Pepsi at the same time. Since I have no say in the estrogen...hello Diet Pepsi! :-)

The dress is adorable! Did you get the fabric at JoAnn's? I think I may remember having seen it there.

Kelby is just so darn adorable! The picture of him in his sling is so sweet.

Back to market on Sunday. I totally understand why you can't come but boy do I miss you!!!
