It was brought to my attention that the picture of my transformed chair in the previous post was not showing up, soooo, here it is again, now that both chairs are finished! Vast improvement :)
Today, my mom and I went down to Denver Fabrics and I scored some awesome deals on fabrics for our new living room. We have a couple of farm-style chairs that need cushions and I found this great upholstery-weight yellow gingham. Yellow is my favorite color and I am always drawn to gingham so this fabric is perfect. (Don't worry, everything fabric in our house gets a good coating of scotch guard :) Then, I found the floral print for 97 cents a yard!!! Our living room will have two huge widows, so I got a whole 10 yards to make curtains. The stripe will be for a cushion for the kids' toy box, which my father-in-law built and is absolutely beautiful. I thought a cushion would sort of disguise it as more of a window-seat. I'm so excited to start painting and decorating! Only a few more weeks!!!!! :)
I also found fabrics for pillows for the master bedroom and curtains for the girls' room. If you live anywhere near the Denver area, Denver Fabrics is toooootalllly worth your time. Epecially for home-dec purposes, although they have an awesome assortment of buttons, trims and patterns. Just FIY :)
