I finished this diaper bag for some dear friends of Casey's who are having a baby boy any day now! Casey helped pick out the fabrics and I came up with the design on the front. It was a nice change from my usual flower appliqué. I love, love, love how it turned out. I hope Cynthia loves it too! I'm not sure if she checks my blog or not, but Cynthia if you happen to see this, sorry to ruin the surprise!
My girls were getting into my spice drawer the other day. Layla took them all out and put them on the floor, then Natalie arranged them. It made a little extra work for me later, but it kept them occupied for a good long time. Totally worth it ; ) Stay tuned for some recent sewing project pictures. My Wonky House quilt is almost done, yay! I'm working on Christmas gifts too, it's right around the corner, ya know!
This morning we woke up to a big, blustery snow storm! It was beautiful. Natalie immediately ran to find her snow pants and snow boots, which I bought early this year, since last year I waited too long and was out of luck for all those huge snows we got. She was ready to go play in the snow, but one thing was missing--I have not gotten my poor baby a coat :( Oh, well, I got this great picture out of the whole ordeal. And, there's something about the swish, swish of her walking in those snow pants that brought great memories and a huge smile to my face.
I was trying to post some pictures today, but apparently blogger is having a problem and is working on a fix. So, I will tell you this news without the beautiful picture of my sister's kids to accompany it: my lovely sister Jana has started a blog! Yay! I'm thrilled, it's great. Drop by and leave her a comment. You can get there here.
I also realized today that the yard guys come on Thursdays and will probably be taking away our beautiful leaves, so today is most likely my last chance to photograph the girls in the Fall leaves. We just spent some time out there and got some great pics, so if the problem is fixed, I'll be posting those pictures tomorrow. I'll miss you, pretty leaves. *sigh*
