My Big Girls!

Well, my parents left to go back to Mongolia today. (We miss you already!) I thought I should get back on top of my poor blog. A few days ago, Layla got her first little tooth poking through! I can't believe how fast her first seven months have gone by!!! THEN, tonight after dinner, NATALIE WENT PEE-PEE IN THE POTTY! We've been informally working with her for several weeks and today I just left her in there reading books on the potty and when Casey looked in there, she had actually gone! So, she got a Dora sticker and some money for her piggy. Hopefully, that will motivate her to keep at it.
This is a picture of her on the new Radio-Flyer tricycle Mom and Dad bought her. She loves it, it's too cute. It even has a ringy-dingy ;) She picked it up so fast, she is such a determined person and is so easily excited, it's one of my favorite qualities of hers.
We took this picture of Layla a few weeks ago at the Southlands Farmer's Market. I LOVE this picture. She is truly the sweetest thing you will ever meet. She can draw a smile out of absolutely anybody. I love that about her.

Bad Blogger :(

I know, I have NOT been a good blogger these last few weeks! We've had a house full of family so I haven't found myself with very much spare time! Here are some pictures from our Fourth of July. We went over to the the big picnic at Central Baptist and then after we came home and put the girls to bed, Mom and Dad stayed here with them and Casey and I walked over to the symphony/fireworks celebration over behind the courthouse. I always love July 4th, it is absolutely one of my favorite holidays. I think next year, Natalie will be big enough to enjoy the fireworks too, it will be so much fun. Every holiday seems more fun after I had kiddos!

Big Girl

Here's a picture of my big girl sitting up all by herself! She's growing up so fast! ; ) She even took her first bath in the big tub with Natalie tonight. She grinned and played and Natalie thought it was pretty cool too.

First Food!

I gave Layla her first taste of solid foods today (yes, she really was this fat from strictly breastfeeding ;) I don't think she got even half of it down her throat, but she did get the hang of it after awhile. She really liked the bib, anyway : )

Julia Hope

For those of you haven't already seen her on Benjamin's Tribe, here are some pictures of my sister's new baby, Julia Hope Alexander. This is their fourth baby, third girl (poor Elijah ; ) She was 8 lbs., 12 oz. and so cute, as you can see. This is Casey and my 9th niece or nephew! Wow!

Genius runs in our family...

...or so my dad has always said. We caught Natalie surrounding herself with the canned goods in a perfect circle one day. Before she placed each one, she'd say "Oh, it's okay" and give the can a kiss. Silly girl.
